Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 3, 2026
This Privacy Policy applies to MKit websites, mobile applications, and related online services that link to this policy. It is written to cover both web and app use. If a specific product, app store listing, or feature includes additional privacy terms, those additional terms apply to that product or feature.
This policy is a general template for ordinary website and app operations. It should be reviewed and updated before launch if a service collects sensitive personal information, serves children, handles payments directly, offers accounts, uses precise location, or operates in a regulated market.
Information We Collect
We may collect information in the following categories:
- Information you provide directly, such as your name, email address, support messages, feedback, account details if accounts are offered, and any preferences or content you submit.
- Usage and device information, such as pages or screens viewed, links clicked, referring URLs, approximate location derived from IP address, browser type, device model, operating system, app version, language settings, crash logs, diagnostics, and similar technical data.
- Cookies, local storage, and similar technologies that help remember preferences, measure performance, prevent abuse, and understand how users move through our services.
- Advertising and attribution information, where enabled, such as cookie identifiers, mobile advertising identifiers, campaign parameters, affiliate click identifiers, and conversion or booking handoff events.
- App permission data, only when an app asks for and you grant a permission, such as notifications, camera, photos, files, contacts, microphone, Bluetooth, or location. The exact permissions depend on the app and should match the permission prompts shown by the operating system.
- Booking and affiliate handoff information, such as the hotel or product page you clicked, destination, language, date/time of click, and the third-party booking or commerce partner that received the handoff.
We do not intentionally collect full payment card details or complete hotel booking records unless a specific product clearly says it processes that information directly. Most bookings, payments, cancellation rules, taxes, and final charges are handled by third-party booking providers.
How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Provide, maintain, and improve our websites, apps, content, and user experience.
- Show relevant hotel guides, app screens, recommendations, saved preferences, or localized content.
- Measure traffic, performance, errors, usage trends, affiliate handoffs, and advertising effectiveness.
- Operate analytics, security, fraud prevention, debugging, and service monitoring.
- Respond to support requests, feedback, legal requests, and user-rights requests.
- Manage affiliate links, attribution, referrals, advertising campaigns, and partner reporting.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms, policies, and service integrity.
Cookies, Analytics, Ads, and Affiliate Links
Our websites and apps may use cookies, SDKs, tags, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies. These tools may be provided by us or by third parties such as analytics providers, advertising networks, app stores, crash reporting tools, hosting providers, and affiliate or booking partners.
Affiliate links may identify that a user came from our service so that an external partner can attribute a booking, purchase, or other action. We may earn a commission from eligible partner links. The external partner's own privacy policy applies once you leave our service or complete a transaction with that partner.
Where advertising is enabled, partners may use cookies, mobile advertising identifiers, or similar technologies to provide, measure, or personalize ads. Some privacy laws may treat certain interest-based advertising or cross-context tracking as a "sale," "sharing," or targeted advertising activity. Where required, we will provide or honor available opt-out controls.
Information Sharing
We may share information with:
- Service providers that help with hosting, analytics, advertising, app distribution, security, storage, email, support, crash reporting, and other operations.
- Affiliate, booking, commerce, or advertising partners when needed for link attribution, campaign measurement, fraud prevention, or user-requested handoffs.
- App stores and platform providers, such as Apple, Google, or device manufacturers, when you install, update, purchase through, review, or use an app through those platforms.
- Professional advisors, authorities, or other parties when reasonably necessary to comply with law, protect rights and safety, investigate abuse, or enforce policies.
- Successor organizations if a service is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets.
- Other parties when you direct us to share information or give consent.
We do not sell personal information in the ordinary sense of exchanging it for money. If a law defines certain analytics, affiliate attribution, or advertising activities as a sale or sharing of personal information, we will provide any required disclosures and controls for those activities.
Third-Party Services
Our services may link to third-party websites, app stores, booking providers, maps, payment processors, social networks, analytics tools, advertising networks, and other services that we do not control. Their privacy policies and terms govern their handling of information. Review those policies before submitting personal information or completing a booking, purchase, or sign-in with a third party.
App Permissions and Platform Controls
Mobile and desktop apps may request permissions only when a feature needs them. You can usually change app permissions in your device settings. Disabling a permission may limit or disable the related feature.
Depending on the app, platform controls may also let you reset or limit advertising identifiers, disable personalized ads, control push notifications, manage background activity, clear app data, or uninstall the app.
Retention
We keep information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described in this policy, including service operation, analytics, security, compliance, dispute resolution, and recordkeeping. Retention periods may vary depending on the type of information, the product, legal requirements, and whether the information is needed for active operations.
Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No website, app, storage system, or transmission method can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Users should use strong passwords where accounts are offered, keep devices updated, and avoid sending sensitive information through support channels unless requested through a secure process.
International Use
Our services may be operated, hosted, or supported from multiple countries. If you use the services from outside the country where they are hosted or operated, your information may be processed in countries with different data protection laws than your country of residence.
Your Choices and Rights
Depending on where you live and the product you use, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, object to, or withdraw consent for certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to opt out of certain targeted advertising, sale, or sharing activities.
You can exercise available controls by:
- Adjusting cookie, browser, device, or app permission settings.
- Using unsubscribe links or notification settings where available.
- Resetting or limiting mobile advertising identifiers through your device settings.
- Contacting us with a request to access, correct, delete, or restrict personal information.
We may need to verify your request before responding. Some information may be retained where needed for security, legal compliance, fraud prevention, or legitimate business records.
Children
Our services are not intended for children under 13, or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children without appropriate consent. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when the policy was last updated. Material changes may be highlighted in the service, app listing, release notes, or other appropriate places.
